In good company: body doubling

Body doubling is a productivity strategy which involves working along side others- in good company. Being witnessed working can help motivate us to focus on tasks, as well as hold us accountable (and away from distractions!).

"Work" is anything you need to get done. It may include administrative tasks, writing, applying for jobs, studying, art-making, cleaning, cooking and so on.

Sessions are 90 minutes. Sessions begin with 30 minutes of grounding activities or a psychoeducation presentation, followed by 60 mins of quiet work with cameras on or off.

Join us for an interactive workshop to learn about the mechanisms of race-based trauma, and connect to our ancestral power for healing.

Haudenosaunee Land Defenders who have been occupying their lands at 1492 Land Back Lane to oppose illegal development are facing expensive legal fees after a recent injunction hearing. Hive Counselling has offered 8 bi-weekly session for auction in support of 1492 Landback Lane Legal Defense Fund Auction.

A discussion-based group with an option for arts-based activities designed for female-identified, Two-Spirit, and non-binary people who have experienced violence.

Winter coffee social

Winter is upon us! This time of year can be difficult. It may be particularly difficult as many of us have 'lost' Summer and Fall due to COVID. To combat the winter blues, Hive Counselling will be hosting a free opportunity to break-up social isolation and start your day with conversation including intention setting, and self-regulation activities.

The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity

Originally published in 1992, The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron has become self-help canon. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Hive Counselling and Consultancy is offering a free 14-week online course to encourage social distancing, while disrupting isolation and mining for creative and spiritual gold.

Road Map to Wellness: Therapeutic Arts for Creative Recovery is a course designed by Hive Counselling for those seeking an opportunity to cultivate more nourishing energy, and heal from depleting, wounding experiences. Hive Counselling has offered a condescend version of Road Map as an offering to Cutie.BIPoC Festival 2020.
